I am currently doing a camjob for someone $1000 in parts $900 labor people will try to talk you into new motor because metal shavings bla bla ect you will be fine just throwing a cam in and flushing everything out.

shops in my area (NY) are around $3,500 for a cam/lifter replacement.
as mentioned above, it's about $1k in parts. $900 for labor is a steal lol
