Just making sure, you reset the tricks computer after each mod right so it can relearn the mods right?
When I bought my '06 Ram it had a pvc intake tube into the stock airbox with a drop-in k&n. I bought a big k&n oval filter and stuck it on the end of the pvc. Now I feel like it has lost low end power? Before I could stand on it at anytime and it would be quick to get going, now it feels like it studders and then goes. Too much air? I disconnected the battery after I put the big filter on to reset the computer. Any ideas? My truck has the hemi btw.
Heres the thing, everything has to match and add up correctly. A big air filter and open exhaust will net more hp, however, if you go to big without being able to use that extra flow you shoot yourself in the foot.
You can also add fuel with the "power wire". I have never personally used one but it tricks the AIT sensor into thinking the incoming air is a cooler charge and adds fuel. Some say it works, others dont. I see the thinking behind it.
