Hello everybody, long time lurker here. I just bought a 2006 1500 4x4 Megacab and been trying to figure out if there's a way to lower it the right way so that the geometry remains good and functional. I've heard and read that there's not a good solution for lowering a 4x4. And I also read somewhere that the 1500 megacab shares it's axles etc with the 2500 model and that somehow makes the lowering even more difficult. Sorry for the novice questions, just trying to figure out which way I want to go with this truck.

Any insight on bolt on kits that might be available for lowering this thing? All the stuff I seem to find is made for 2WD and not for the megacab.

how low are you trying to lower it? After you figure out what stance you want there are plenty of companies that make components to lower it.

for the front there's plenty of options
drop spindles
drop lower control arms
upper control arms
raised upper control arm mounts
bumper steer kits
lowering springs
air bags
drop shocks

rear
C-notch depending on how low you go
flip kit
drop blocks
lowered leaf spring pack
drop shackles
4 link
3 link
air bags
drop shocks

hope that helps.

This will definitely help! Thank you Sir. I'm still trying to figure out the right stance, since there's been so few pics of lowered Megacabs floating on the internet.
