LTDMan's '07 1500 Quad Cab

Thought I'd start a build thread for my RAM, since this truck will be receiving alot of mods and upgrades in the coming years. Amongst them a Hemi.

Intro:
Long time truck guy here, first time Mopar owner. I came from the Ford world, but have always loved MOPAR's, and when it came time for another truck to Daily Drive and haul stuff for my business, the 02-08 RAM had my attention more than anything else. I just loved the aggressive look of the truck, and then when I finally got to drive one I was sold. Only stipulation was it had to be Clean, Black, and a Quad Cab. So, after a few months of searching, I found an '07 1500 Quad Cab, with the 4.7, 117K on the ticker, Very Clean, and in Gloss Black Metallic. I bought it straight off the lot. I've had it for about a month and a half now, and I love driving this tank of a truck, which rides like a luxury car. I dont wanna drive anything else now. Whoever had this truck before took damn good care of it. It still has all the service records from the dealership with it, documented up until 112K when they had the plugs changed. I'm getting an 16mpg average according to the trip computer. It has the 24gal tank, and I'm getting around 350mi per tank. I drive pretty fast as well, if I grandpa drove it, i'm sure it would see a little better. I absolutely love this truck, and I can see this truck becoming my baby, and getting a hopped-up Hemi in the future. I had a 96 Ford Ranger single cab before this as my Daily Driver, so you can imagine how upgrading to this truck felt for me. It's like a whole other, much better world. I have alot of plans for this truck, and I will update this thread with my progress on the truck over the coming years. Enjoy the Pics.

Truck does look really clean. I would have just gotten a hemi instead of doing all the work to swap one in.

Thanks man. I would have, but the only Hemi Ram I could find in this area was a way overpriced '08 SRT in Blue, which wasn't what I wanted. This truck was exactly what I wanted aside from not having the Hemi, and was priced right, which is why I went for this one. The lack of a Hemi is easy enough for me to correct thankfully, and that will come down the road, but for now the 4.7 is doing what I need it to do, so I'm gonna keep it in there for a little while. Maybe around 200K or so it will get a new Hemi.

Well, Ive had this truck for about 3 months now, and everything has been perfect. I drive this truck daily, and it has been consistently performing like a champ. The 4.7 in this truck has plenty of power, a surprising amount actually, for a motor rated at 230hp/300tq. The trans shifts really smooth, and I'm still getting 16mpg on 87. She's still riding damn smooth, hauling everything I need hauled without even flinching, and looking good doing it. I love how this truck turns heads where ever I go, even more so than my Challenger, its gotta be the extreme shininess of this Black Pearl/CC factory paintjob. The 1st mods are gonna be a Tow Hitch and RSB, which I hope to get to install soon, not much time to do anything currently as I own a business, and have to work alot. I think it's safe to say that I've finally found a truck that I wanna keep for the rest of my life though. My girl is already jealous, lol.

Well, this truck was nice while it lasted. A few weeks ago a Moron Driver t-boned me in this truck, and fully totaled it. Luckily for me, the Shrapnel Bomb Airbag didnt deploy, lol. Sucks this had to happen to such a pristine truck, but oh well, that's life for ya. I just got the check today, which is more than I actually paid for the truck including the mods, so it worked out well. Going to the local Dodge dealership next week, and picking up a new 2016 1500 Express in Black Pearl with the Hemi. I loved my 3rd Gen but I'm Excited for the newness.
