I have a 17 1500 4x4 that is a 5 lug pattern. I bought a set of limited wheels that are 6 lug pattern. Can any one tell me if the conversion kit will cause me problems. Looking fir pros and cons. I have found a set of billet hub centric conversion spacers. Just trying to find out if it’s worth it or not.

If the spacers are made well and you install them and torque them properly then you should be fine. Downfall is spacers push the tires out farther so if that’s the look you want then go for it. Make sure that the stock lugs are not sticking through the spacer or your rim will hit them and not sit properly and will cause failure.

Pretty simple, anyhow the "if" conversation should have been had before, now it seams like you have made a move, roll with it. If your locale doesnt allow tires to stick past fenders, get some flares. I would however NOT use factory lug nuts as they are faulty, use this nice conversion to move you to upgrade to some good after market solid lugs. If the cap on your lug nut strips on the road and you don't have the right stuff to deal with it, as in the lower socket size plus something to chip the cap out, you are indeed SOOL.

Sell the 6 Lug wheels you bought and buy the proper wheels, especially if you use the truck off road at all. If it is a straight pavement truck with light loads, adapter will work but still not my first choice by a long ways.

I would just get the correct bolt pattern wheels. The spacers are technically safe, but harder on wheel bearings and steering components when you increase the offset.
