well today the wife and I traded our 14 2500 MegaCab 6.4 with 46k miles on it in for a New 18 1500,5.7/8speed/392”s/RamBox crew cab.
I Bought that truck New for 39k otd, traded it in and got 33k.
The 18 Msrp was 51k, I put zero down except for my trade and I walked out of there with 2.9% apr financing a total of 35k. Got a 5 year service contract and Max Care Lifetime warranty.
I’m in a work truck 5 to 6 days a week, wife wants a newer ish grand Cherokee so we wanted to drop our monthly payments by 200$ and we where able to do that. I will say this, this little thing is peppy as hell. Now I just got to start moding it. Looks like I will be in the half ton section more than the 3/4 ton section now.
I came to realize today that dealers are deffinetly getting kick backs from the banks on higher APR”s if the dealer can push it on the seller. I have over 800 credit score and they first came back with 4.9%apr and tried to sell me the truck for 45k. I was like it’s on the internet for 37k.. so they got the price adjusted, and it only took like 3 hours to get them to an apr I deemed acceptable. But god I hate buying cars... what a pain in the ass it was.
