Ok so i saw someone else had made their own light bar for the front of their dakota a little while ago and i was wondering if anyone else has done that? if so is there a way to connect the bar at the top of the bumper instead of through the tow hooks like some that you can buy from n fab?

any suggestions or pictures are much apprieciated

I have the light bar made by Westin...that's the one that goes through the tow hook mounts. I've seen somebody make a bar for behind the grill, but never one like that. I like that design though.

Fits through the bumper, and somehow mounts behind it.

That's alright, as long as you have 4x4 you'll be fine on the beach. Last time I was down there was a stock 09 4x4 and he was following right behind me going over every dune I was.

Can you not hold backup on the bolt? And which one are you talking about exactly?

haha I just wanted to give you guys and the rest of the people on the beach some entertainment! Yea was kinda dumb....my bad, I'm thinking of my bro in law's who's still rocking the stock setup. He hasn't had any problem either.

I was just thinking about texting you earlier and seeing what you've been up to and tell you of a plan to meet up again soon. I'm hoping for a better turnout this time, might need it all the help I can get....who knows what obstacle I'll attempt to overcome next. :superhack:

Well we haven't meet up since last fall, but with summer coming up I'd like to have maybe once a month if we could get enough interest. There's some good areas down in San Louis Pass to meet up and cruise the beach.
