I recently replaced the 46RE in my 2000 Ram 1500 Sport. Shifted fine at first now it's starting to act up. I've seen floor shifters added but I don't think that would fix the problem. I can manual shift it using the column shifter but sometimes it still doesn't doesn't shift into 3rd until I back off the throttle completely. I replace the TPS with a supposedly premium replacement part. When I had Chevy Blazer with the 4L60E there was a push button set up to manually shift the transmission available. I would assume there would be one for the 46RE as well.
