I have a 2025 Ram Laramie with the Straight Six Turbo. I took the truck to the dealership for an oil change. Drove the truck for a week and oil level was at the correct level according to the dash gauge. (NO DIP STICK...WHY???) Anyway, the outside temperature was in the negatives last week and my oil light suddenly came on stating the oil level was over max filled and I needed to go to the dealership to have the oil changed. I called the dealership and was told this has been an issue they are seeing since the weather has been so cold and I am safe to drive. I then drove the truck to the dealership and we sat in the truck with the engine off but in the run position for 10 minutes. Supposedly this would reset the max oil level gauge but it did not. Does anyone know the magic procedure to reset this gauge?

Document everything you do with that so in the future,if bad things happen your behind is covered.
Do not trust the dealer to keep track of things .
Dealers are not very trustworthy .
