McGard Lug Nuts - not going on one stud

Curious if anyone has ever had this issue. I got new McGard black lug nuts, they are for a 2012 4x4 and are cone seat m14 x 1.5 22mm. I have been using the locking lugs of theirs for about 2 years.. and finally bought these ones but one wont go on all the way.. its cold so I just put the old ones back on and will take a look at it another time. Just curious if anyone else had the same issue, or came into a similar ones.

I think the 2009-2012s took a different thread pitch but not 100% sure on that...

If the old ones went back on with no issues,you probably have one dud new one.Look the threads inside it over close,for galling etc..

I worked for McGard many years ago. It was top quality stuff back then. Like said, a dud can happen. They do a very stringent QC on every single batch, but obviously not every piece gets scrutinized. Call them. I bet they send you out a replacement that day.
