2019 Ram Bighorn 5.7l Hemi, 2300 miles. New to the site and wanted to see if anyone has had these problems...
When turning left I get a knocking noise, I know a little about auto mechanics and assumed it was the axel U joint. Took it to the dealer and that’s exactly what it is. But they also told me there is an oil leak!!! I’m was like WHAT?! I’ve had the truck for 3 months and barely drive because I only live a mile from my job. I’ve never hit anything and the truck is pristine under the hood. It’s it’s been at the dealer since Thursday and they’re waiting on parts and investigating the oil leak. I’m really afraid I got a lemon here! I’m wondering if they’d let me swap the truck out, I doubt they will but I’m afraid I’ll be stuck with a lemon!

I can pretty much guarantee you that you won’t get a buyback because of this. It’s a new truck and that is what warranty is for

Let them investigate the leak and either fix it or in rare case replace the engine.

Now if the truck ends up in the shop for more than a month you could possibly start a lemon law case(depending on your states lemon laws)

Thanks! Yeah lemon laws for SC are 3 problems or 30 days. Will be interesting to hear what they come back with for the oil leak.

Yeah probably too early to talk about being a lemon, if you browse the forums you'll see people with way more issues than what you have. Brand new redesigned truck that they rushed production on for an early release, if you take that risk you can't be surprised when you have some problems. Especially if you're truck was an earlier build, it seems like the post September/October built trucks have had less issues.
