Mega opinion.

Ok. So here is a question for your opinion. My truck is a 06 mega 1500 4x4. In anything i put the vin in it says 1500 mega cab. However at the dealership when they run my vin it comes up as a 2500 heavy duty. The vin is the same all throughout the truck. My question do i slap the heavy duty badge on there. I do have the heavy duty shocks auxilary trans cooler heavy duty radiator.

I would say if you don't have a solid front axle then no, it's not a 2500 HD.
It's possibly a 1500 HD. I think they might have made those for a while.

I believe they badged a half ton mega cab but the suspension and axles are all 3 quarter ton.
Probably why the dealer comes up with 2500.

I have the same truck and the only difference between the 1500 Megacab and the 2500 Megacab that I'm aware of is a single leafspring in the rear. Whenever I order parts for my truck I just say it's a 2500.

We all know a mega cab is a 3/4 ton. Thats not what i am asking. Should i order a HD badge for it?

I was gonna say I thought the 1500 mega was just basically just a rebadged 2500

As OP said we all know chassis is 3/4 ton but im curious...do you have mds? If not then as far as i know you have a heavy duty truck. I think if you do decide on the 2500 badges..which im not against..you should go with the badges from 13-15. Ive seen them on quite a few 3rd gens and they look really sharp imo.

I dont have mds. I am planning on repainting the truck and it will be the 13 to now badges.
