I would like to see a picture of your steering wheel. Post them up here so we can take a look.

Alright guys. Sorry about not updating you. I've been between homes over the holidays and busy as hell. I FINALLY found someone at Chrysler to help me and not just give me the cold shoulder. The steering wheel was replaced free of charge on Friday. It took multiple calls, emails, and threats of legal council to finally get it taken care of. I think they finally just got sick of hearing my name and gave in. This $500 fix is a **** in the wind for Chrysler.

I never did get any pictures myself. It more or less looked like melting/chafing of the leather at the 10oclock position. Keep an eye on yours. It very well may have been a isolated incident, but if your steering wheel is getting as hot as mine was it definitely could happen to you. This new steering wheel is a MUCH more comfortable temp.
