I may have asked this question before but just recently read or heard that they fit 17" wheels and bigger. Can anyone verify if this is true or why they won't fit 17" wheels? I also am looking into the Caliper covers made by "Dorman". I don't want to spend the money on the MGP brand if they definitely won't fit. Or does anyone have the Dorman Caliper covers on their 17" wheels? Most of these, I see on the 20" wheels.

That's good to know. Do you have any problems with them causing the brakes to overheat due to these? I am looking at the Dorman ones, which customer service says they will fit my truck front and rears, and at a fraction of the cost of MGP ones. Thru ROCKAUTO, less than $60 shipped.

The mpg ones dont cover the whole caliper. Basically they just go in front and block your view of the caliper so there shouldn’t be any issues with overheating

I believe the Dorman ones are the same design, as in just covering the front/outside of the calipers. Thanks quietpeen.

FYI - A buddy of mine owns a shop that does wraps. He says they have wrap now made specifically for wrapping brake calipers.

That sounds like a huge pita to try and wrap a caliper lol

It doesn't surprise me... Just think painting would be way easier... Maybe not cheaper, but easier fosho

Not sure if you've done it before, but I have. I scrubbed the calipers with brake clean, dried, repeated, and got them nice and clean. I then masked off everything I didn't want painted, and used the spray caliper paint. They turned out really good, but 2 years later, they're showing their age. I'd be curious how the wrap holds up on calipers.

I did the G2 brush on. Only six months in, but they look unchanged from the day I painted them.

I have zero input on your MGP calipers, just had to chime in on your profile name. Love it! *****.....

Thanks MarshRam. I actually just had an administrator change it to that. I get a lot of comments on it.

I just scored a 14 foot Tracker that will be perfect for the intercoastal in my area. I'm repainting and doing some mods to it. Hope you didn't copyright that, it's probably getting stenciled in!

G2 will last years unchanged, used on cars in the past, just did my sons Challenger this year, great stuff seems bullet proof.
