Just got my Dorman Caliper Covers for my truck today. Hoping to get them installed within the next couple weeks. Will post pics when I do. IMG_0715.JPG

Do you have to remove the wheels to put these on?I ordered a set and would prefer not to remove wheels.

to me the tearing caliper down and cleaning and reassemble....these take 10 minutes, stay clean.

I painted my calipers on the truck on my 2006 ram. Sprayed them with carb cleaner, wiped em off, and then painted. But I enjoy having a few beers and working on my truck. Lol.

The Caliper covers I got were made by Dorman and will fit 17" wheels. I payed like $80 for them, and it says these can be painted if you prefer a custom color. I'll try them and see how they hold up and may end up painting and clearing them or may powdercoat them and be done with it.

The MGP were not recommended for my 17" wheels. Only 18" and bigger. And I spent $70 versus $200 for the MGP covers.

I’ve had the MGPs on for about a year and a half, and they still look really good....almost brand new. They’ve never rubbed, or come loose. I got mine for about 175$ and think they are worth the dough. I have the stock 20’s though, not the 17’s.

The rears ended up rubbing the inside of the rims. Ground down the area on the covers with a die grinder quite a lot and still were rubbing so took them off. Gonna take the fronts off another day. Fronts weren't rubbing at all. OH WELL, live and learn.

I may have asked this question before but just recently read or heard that they fit 17" wheels and bigger. Can anyone verify if this is true or why they won't fit 17" wheels? I also am looking into the Caliper covers made by "Dorman". I don't want to spend the money on the MGP brand if they definitely won't fit. Or does anyone have the Dorman Caliper covers on their 17" wheels? Most of these, I see on the 20" wheels.

Out of the MGP and Dorman which one is more aesthetically pleasing? I don’t think the Dorman has the powdered coat... how is the Dorman holding up and do they have a glossy look?
