It wasn't until 4th week that my TI's really got to know my name and it's all because I wore glasses back then and the optometry gave me the wrong glasses. My prescription they gave me read what it was suppose to be which was something along the line of -3.00 in both eyes but what they gave me was -0.75 which means they had no effect on my vision at all. So for the first month of basic I got to wear civilian glasses, it was nice, lol.

But on the day my glasses came in, my TI also a SSgt Rodriguez come walking out of no where and yells "Henriksen, get your ass up here" Then he hands me my glasses and yells "put them on now, it's like f***ing Christmas for me"

3 yrs PA National Guard. Generator mechanic. I know what you're all thinking, 3 years and only an E2! Well, I have this issue with running and my weight. The good news is I just recently got my weight down, now to pass that APFT.

Easier said then done. :roflsquared: I've always had issues motivating myself. Luckily a buddy of mine has been working out with me and gave me several pointers on eating healthier.

Hopefully, fingers crossed, I get the temp tech job I just applied for. They workout 3 times a week...plus the pay  is a lot better.

Think about those days during basic. You gotta find it within yourself to get the motivation.
