I traded my 2014 1500 Sport in for a 2026 Bighorn, didn't have much choice really. (Long story) This new truck doesn't come with running boards and my wife needs them to get into the truck easier. Fixed are perfectly fine, but I have no experience with electric ones to say whether I would like them or not. Looking for suggestions on make/model of either based on experience of others.

On my 2015 1500 I went with OEM Wheel to wheel boards and they still look new after10 years of Maine winters

I've had the Amp Power Steps on my 2010 since 2012. The power steps are much easier for my wife to find getting out of the truck, they're out a little farther and lower so she doesn't need to search for them. She had a hard time with the regular steps I had on there.

AMP power steps are a great option as when deployed they come down lower than a non power step would. Then they tuck up nice to the cab where they are out of the way and gives a nice clean look. We offer AMP and many other step brands. Message me if you would like a quote

The Aries steps actually give 2 steps. The top stays at about the level of fixed ones and the lower drops down.
Wife needed that both before and after hip and knee replacements.

The AMP power steps are nicer then the standard factory running boards. They are just a couple of inches lower then stock ones when deployed and just split the height nicely on my 2500. My wife finds the first step much better as do I.
