I have a 2011 ram 5.7, recently did a water pump and thermostat. Flushed the entire cooling system including the heater core. Truck didnt have hardly good heat when I bought so I did all of the above. I checked all the doors in the HVAC box and they all move like they should. Both heater core lines are very hot and temp comes up to where they should be. Im stumped... and no the cooling system isnt air locked, we burped it and vacuum bled the system, appreciate the help!!

Did you verify that the actual blend doors are moving and not just the actuator motors, because the doors can be busted and the motor will still turn.

Check and make sure you're heater core isn't plugged by dirt, especially if you don't have a cabin air filter. If the air isn't allowed to flow over you're heater core it don't matter how hot you get it, you're not gonna get much heat. Easiest way is to check actual airflow our of you're vents.

My dad has the same exact issue on his 09. Local repair shop has had it 3 times for a total of 8 days. The 3rd time they replaced the whole heater core and still didn’t fix it. They keep asking him to bring it back to keep trying to fix it, at no charge since it hasn’t been fixed after 3 attempts, but they want it for a couple days and it’s his daily.
