So my truck has the "breakaway" mirrors. does anybody know if there is some sort of tension adjuster? the reason i ask is the drivers seems to be really loose and will almost breakaway with just closing the door.

From what I've seen they say there are four torque screws that you can tighten to solve the problem. I'm still looking for an easy way to get to the screws. I guess it's a pain to get to them. If your truck is still under warranty it should be covered.

take it to the dealer

my 2013 had an issue with the driver side mirror. it would rattle at highway speed. they took care of it.
