How do you know if you have memory mirrors without actually setting them? I haven't tried to set mine or if I even can and don't know how without reading the manual. I'm asking because my son just bought an identical truck Saturday and has to leave next Sunday towing his camper 1500 miles and wants to order tow mirrors ASAP so he can have them on by Saturday night (so likely has to order them tomorrow morning). The dealers can't get them until about mid November due to back orders.

My window sticker says it has Customer Preferred Package 22T, Luxury Group, Outdoorsman, Off-Road. The only thing it says about mirrors is:
1) Black folding power mirrors w/ turn signals
2) Exterior mirrors with supplemental turn signals
3) Exterior mirrors with courtesy lamps

I can check my manual tomorrow but trying to get him the info so he can get them ordered in the morning

Do you have factory memory seats ? If so then it has Memory Mirrors. If not then you just have the Power-fold with the Turn and Puddle lamp.

I've been running these since my OE mirrors crapped the bed and they've been great. Just have to make sure to add the tow mirror bracket inside the door if you want to do it right swapping from non tow mirrors. The brackets will also require some rivnuts to be put into the factory holes in the doors. I used some from Harbor Freight inserts with my own bolts/washers, but Mopar sells the specific rivnuts. Right now the size escapes me.

Brackets :

If it has memory then these will be the right mirrors depending on if you want black or chrome:

Yep, memory seats. Been looking at the 1A. Funny that the black are more than the chrome? I will let him know. He has to have them installed and ready to go by Saturday afternoon or he will just use the regular mirrors. Not ideal but he was just told last Monday that he has to be there by August 6th to start at that site on the 8th. He just picked the truck up this past Saturday so definitely a time crunch here. He had a company truck but isn't allowed to tow with it so had to buy his own

List price is higher on the chrome ones, but I image it might be due to demand on the black ones. Out here a lot of guys ditch the Chrome mirror on their loaded up HD's after swapping bumpers and wheels. The chrome mirrors do look a little out of place once you've got a ranch hand and black wheels.

Don’t the tow mirrors require some programming to function correctly when changing from non tow mirrors?

Just the sales code if you don't want to remember they're rotated 90 degree's while adjusting when flipped out. I didn't have the sales code for months until I had the ITBC activated. It's more of an inconvenience than a necessity. Had I had AlfaOBD at the time would've activated both myself.

And if it’s a 1500 isn’t there a support bracket needed as well?

Yup any truck that doesn't have the tow mirrors from the factory needs them if you don't want the wobble at speed. I linked it above on Amazon. Found the thread on the EcoD forum that details the 6 rivnuts needed (6507161AA) as well as the bolts (6508709AA). The install is pretty cake and I opted to use a cheapo rivnut tool from harbor freight with their rivnuts. So far they've been holding just fine rattling around on back roads and whatnot.
