Just took delivery of a 2021 3500 DRW Longhorn Limited. Had to drive nearly 300 miles to get it (limited inventory). When I got home and was really looking her over, I noticed what appears to be a missing wheel well panel (middle) on both side of the rear fender well.
Contacted the dealer and they filed a (so they claim) a “mis-build” report. They come back to me saying as odd as it sounds, they don’t put that panel on the trucks any more. Ironically my salesperson found a part number.
I contacted FCA and they are just saying the same as the Dealer.
I am no mechanic or body person, but it seems to me the missing panel is “ripe” for debris and moisture to accumulate causing issues down the road.
Be nice to know if other with the same package have the same issue. This is an August 2021 Build.

I don't have your answer but I can't even describe how ridiculous that sounds that they don't install something like that. That would *** me off knowing I paid a huge price for a vehicle and they would be that "stupid" to not add that to your truck!

This, they are not standard, and haven’t been for awhile now

I've noticed that on the 1500s on the lower trim levels, but the upper trim levels like the longhorn they were still standard. The 21 1500 longhorn I ordered has them but they weren't an extra option I selected like you would have to on the lower trim levels. That being said, I have no knowledge if this is supposed to be the same for the heavy dutys or not.

At least they started putting cabin air filters in all of them, that was another great area to cheap out. Well, I assume they made that standard on the heavy dutys as well, hopefully?

I am not surprised, Ford & Chevy has left the rear ones off for a long time
It is just considered an addon now

That sounds like BS on the dealerships part. Sounds like the factory forgot to put it on

Agreed...leave it all off, or all of it on. There is no way someone at the factory should think that is the right way to leave a truck

There is nothing on the sticker. When you build on the RAM site, it is not even an option.

YUP, optional on most, not sure say on Limited? I also have a 2019 Bighorn, no middle liners, Optional. There is a part number and I can get them, just not got extra cash for stuff like that are a want and not a need.

Looks like a target rich environment for RUST. I’d coat it with FLUID FILM or WOOLWAX before installing any fender liners

Can't believe they don't still make them a solid one piece like my '12 model anyway. I don't like they are made in separate pieces to start with. I can't get past it not being standard. Cheap skates!!

YEAH, I really need to buy some of them and put in, luckily, I am in an area where rust is not a problem. But I have a lot of projects either coming up and/or in progress takes extra extra penny BOIRD got.

Just bought a 2021 Laramie and it didn’t have the full covers either. I thought it was odd…

Ok so you can cry and moan about this or just order a pair and install them.. For me it would be a no-brainer,, If your going to keep the truck for any length of time it's probably a wise and cheap investment..
