I have been mixing them for years too in both our Jeeps.

1 quart of Redline 5W30 to 5 quarts of PUP 5W30.

I ran out of Lubegard and have been too lazy to order more so I have been using the Redline as an additive in place of the Lubegard.

I buy the 5 liter jugs of PUP 5W30 (5.3 quarts) on sale and don't want to open a whole jug for one quart. I have Redline 1 quart bottles in my stock for my Hemi.

Have you had any UOA testing performed to see what's happening inside?

Just finished up the oil change, went with 1/2 and 1/2 of both Redline and Pup and about 4 oz of lubegard. Tomorrow or the next day,the car will be making about a 110 mile trip, and i'll see how it does in regards to oil pressure compared to straight Redline. It idles dead quiet though, and is still holding about 47 psi when idling hot, which is pretty close to what it idled at with straight Redline

Bold move, you are mixing fatty esters, polyol esters, and borate esters. They are very mixable/compatible but the issue is seals and they will all compete for the same space. It will probably be ok but if you only take one girl to the dance you knew you have no worries. GL anyhow, I hope it works so thats all I got.

Nope. Been living on the edge for a several years now. I never really worried about it.

Both Pentastars are quiet and smooth and it gets changed every 6000 miles or less if I creep up to the year mark on the oil change.

What oil and weight are you using in your Pentastars? Amy Lubegard?
I am using PUP 5W30 in one I have and PUP 5W20 in my dad's. Have not added Lubegard.

Well i can't say as the 1/2 and 1/2 mix is making me unhappy.Made a 110 miles with it today, and it runs basically the same oil pressures as it did with straight Redline. It's also every bit as quiet as it was on straight Redline.Car maybe makes 5,000 miles a year these days,so it'll be next spring before it probably gets another oil change, and i'll see what i still think of the mix then ;)

PUP 5W30 is 5 quarts and 1 quart of Redline 5W30 for the last few years.

In our 2013 Wrangler I did run all PP 5W30 to start then at some point switched to PUP 5W30 (probably around 2017 when I joined this site) and eventually added a 10 ounce bottle of Lugard for a few years too.

I have no complaints about any of them.

The Wrangler has about 135,000 miles and is my wife's daily driver. Engine is all original except for the crappy plastic oil cooler housing.

Yea, changed the oil cooler in both cars already as well. I am trying every little advantage to make vehicles last. Both also have a Baxter Adapter (MS-201-BK) on them. Run a Royal Purple 20-500 (or similar) filter now.
Gotta make 'em last. Lol
