Just ordered the DODM80!! About how long is processing/shipping? Can’t remember where they ship from. Ordered catch can last time from them but took months because it was custom so don’t have an accurate gauge on how long it’ll take to get. Hoping to receive it by the 25th this week before vacation, but for such a large item doubt it’ll be received in 3-4 business days...

Posted before how I have the Mopar Performance Exhaust system and if anyone ever modified it. From what I’ve found the Mopar muffler is a Borla rebranded one which is on the quiet side of the spectrum.

Don’t get me wrong it sounds great I’ll get before and after clips, but feel like it could be even louder and more aggressive. Hopefully I’m not ruining the balance and sound of the existing system.. It’s great that the Mopar kit came with the tips and pipes so I don’t have to mess with any of that, should just be able to slip the Mopar muffler out and the new DODM80 right in its place. I guess if drone is that bad for vacation can always swap them out easily or may sell the Mopar one.

If he has it in stock, normally ships same business day. If you order on weekend and he has it in stock he normally ships Monday. Matt is very fast with shipping with in stock items. Luckily his place is just an hour drive from my house. :D I bought my Carven muffler from Moe's and think I received it in no more than three business days. Then again I'm only about 70 miles from his place.

Hah that’s awesome! Hey tell him to get on rush on my order then since you’re so close [emoji23] With free shipping I can’t complain though I didn’t even look anywhere besides his shop. Hmm 3 days and you’re that close so me being 1200 miles from TX prob get it in 7 days.

Just went back and checked my emails. I ordered on Sunday June 2nd, I got an email that my order was shipped on Monday June 3rd at 841am, and my package was delivered on June 4th at 101pm. I would think you may get yours by Thursday, barring any issues. Moe's customer service is top notch, best I've ever dealt with.

Think we may have a problem...jumped the gun on this I believe.... just went outside to check because I forgot that I don’t think it aligns up right..

The Mopar muffler extends up and at different lengths to align with the pipes... the DODM80 looks to be the same size as the muffler and doesn’t extend or have the angles to match and clamp on to the pipes......

You will need stock tails for that or check for alignment and chop the pipes at the end of the muffler. I would be more inclined to find a set of used stock tails

That's why I went with the Carven Progressive, direct fit/switch, no cutting or welding. And it sounds pretty damn awesome. My wife was so sick of me watching/listening to exhaust vids on YouTube after 4 days lol.

See “direct fit” only works for OEM. I have the Mopar Performance system so no “direct fit” works..

Is the DODM80 THAT much more aggressive than the Mopar system? I mean if it is I’ll maybe just go to muffler shop and have them weld and cut everything up and be done with it...maybe get some 5” black tips too.. But also if I just do that then why buy the “direct fit” DODM80 which can probably be done way cheaper from muffler shop; it’s probably just straight pipes no special baffle system.. ugh what to do. Think I’ll email and try and cancel the order. Was so excited too, but doesn’t seem practical. Jumped the gun on this one [emoji24]

Chopping the pipes isn’t the worst idea. I’ve done it before. Was thinking about selling it if I like it though, but if I was able to cut it and have them align perfectly then I could swap in and out at will. This just keeps getting more complicated hah think I’ll try and cancel order and rethink this whole process.

The DODM80 is a muffler delete, it is definitely going to be more aggressive

It will work but if that is what you want I wouldn't chop that system up. Maybe not the sound you want but it's a good system and good money. I bet you could sell that plus trade for stock tails in no time. You would make money or basically get the sound you want for free if that's what you want. Post it on cl or Facebook market. Sell it for like 250 plus stock tail pipes. Bet it will go fast and you wont have a hacked up system it will all be bolt on and last alot longer then welds rusting up

If you decide to cancel, I would definitely send him an email tonight and call him early tomorrow morning, like 800am early lol. If you go into your account there may be a "cancel order" button, I'm not sure, I've never cancelled an order with Moe's. I'd definitely make sure it is cancelled before it gets shipped because you may have to pay a restocking fee for a returned item, I know it says 15 % on the website.

Emailed when I updated the thread last night and now on the fence if I should call or not because I’m almost thinking about just cutting the Mopar muffler.. BUT

My question now is what are the muffler output pipe sizes on both the Mopar muffler and the DODM80? Because I can’t find anything online..

If they’re the same size outputs then cutting them would be useless because one isn’t bigger than the other to slide inside the other and then clamp down...I would have to I guess get a female barrel coupler where both the cut Mopar muffler and the new DODM80 outputs slide in and then double clamp that down....

The more I seem to think about this and want to make it work the more it seems like it’s just not meant to work out for me ha.

Any exhaust shop can easily do it however you do not want a hacked up system. I promise you dont. Just hold off on the install if you get it till you track down stock tails. It wont be hard.then sell the mopar kit. You will regret cutting it up.

Agreed. I mean I DO love the loud aggressive exhaust of a muffler delete, but at the same time I do like the distinct Mopar version that has a throaty growl and doesn’t sound like all other trucks on the road. Might just stick with what I got. Had my fun in younger years with loud exhausts and the installations etc. Plus I love the chrome tips (minus one long scratch on it..), thought black tips would look better with my blue and black theme but the chrome Mopar ones are thicker than the black ones I’ve seen. Also had a rattle going on under the truck and I checked the clamps but when I brought to dealer they said it was a loose clamp still, so if they look under and see a hack job or replaced parts they may not even bother or try and charge if I was to have any issues in future..

I need to just lay this thought to rest already been fighting louder exhaust demons on my shoulder for 1.5 years haha guess it’s because I’m running out of mods to do.

Thanks guys for everything! Gonna call Moe’s in hour when they open and stick with what I got.

It's a good call and I hear you on that. I had the carven progressive and loved it. I sold it and went to the solo mach 40 to quiet it down so the old lady would stop complaining. I think I have been complaining more that its quiet then she did because it was loud. Shes at the point now that the says just shut up and make it louder again! Plus the old man next door I thought I was bothering all the time always tells me I miss hearing that thing hahahaha
