Is the gold and black car a '66/'67 Plymouth Belvedere/Satellite? Do you remember the engine size in it?
This is a '49 Plymouth I traded around and got in 1999. It had been sitting at the time since 1973. I hauled it home and over the course of a month I cleaned the gas tank out, replaced fuel lines, fuel pump and rebuilt the carburetor. I tuned it up with plugs, wires, points, rotor and distributor cap. Still had the original radiator. Changed all the fluids and it fired right up with no problem. It was a flat head 6 cylinder with the 3 speed on the column. (If you're under 40 someone will probably have to tell you what that is, lol). I cleaned it with ajax to clean it and scuff it up and primered it flat black, left the chrome hubcaps and beauty rings on it and it looked pretty good, can't find a picture of it after I did that. I drove it all over the place. Drove it from NC to WV and people couldn't believe I would drive it that far away. I'd tell them I had a better chance of fixing it if something happened to it more than I could fix a new car on the side of the road. The only bad part was getting caught in the rain with vacuum windshield wipers, anybody that has driven with those know what I mean. Give it throttle, they'd quit, let off the throttle they'd go so fast you thought they'd fly off, lol. Running 65 MPH it was turning a lot of RPM'S but it would do it all day. I only kept it for about 2 years. I always wanted a 2 door '39 or '40 Plymouth, Dodge or Chrysler so I sold it. Couldn't get that turtle shape to grow on me. Still wanting a '39 or '40 tho! Maybe some day!View attachment 248736 View attachment 248738

Would liked to have seen that picture in color, bet it looked good with those torque thrust wheels!
I just noticed it has the redline tires on it if the color is right?

Plum Crazy was always my favorite color. Not even going to comment on the mustang part, they never did anything for me to care. LOLI am a big fan of the Plum Crazy purple too!
If I were to get another car, I would try and find a Scat Pack Charger in the purple.
The lines on that car are perfect. It’s classy, sexy and can run in heals.
Sure, it’s not as fast as a 5.0 mustang but who cares.. It looks way better then most cars on the road!

I've had several mustangs but I out grew them.. LOL It's more a kids car.Plum Crazy was always my favorite color. Not even going to comment on the mustang part, they never did anything for me to care. LOL
To me that's pretty impressive times for a Challenger with stock tires! Plus the Challenger will cruise 80+ MPH all day and get 25ish MPG. I've done it with mine!I've had several mustangs but I out grew them.. LOL It's more a kids car.
1988 LX 5.0 5spd, My first new car
1990 GT 5spd, bought used in 1996
1998 Cobra convertible, triple black. I did some BS upgrades to this car. 4 point roll bar, Steeda shifter, K&N intake, 4.10 gears. Drag radials.
Best I could get that car to run was a 13.3 @ 101.2 with a 1.9 60'.
My 2015 Challenger R/T had longer legs, I managed a 13.1 @ 105.2 with a 2.0 60'. That was on stock tires. It had high to mid 12's in it but I could never get it to hook. Wheel hop was crazy in that car! LOL
