Mopar Cold Air Induction

Is anybody using the Mopar CAI on a 5.7, I figured if Mopar makes it it should work preet good. They know the motor best. Mines a 2014 4x4 QC.

Im pretty sure there are a few CAI threads on every page. Read up on a few. From my knowledge the mopar one is NOT the best preforming.

For the money there are WAY beter ones. (ie: Vanram or S&B)

S&B or Vararam. IMO, the only 2 that should be considered. Vararam has a slight edge over S&B in the performance but the fit & finish on the S&B is second to none. Ive owned both, and both are high quality. The "Mopar" intake is as much of a joke as the K&N.

Iirc volant makes Mopar's intake system. It performs well but not like vararam or s&b.

The Mopar Intake is just an AEM intake with a Mopar sticker on it. Like mentioned above, stick with Vararam or S&B to get the best performance.

It is not just a Mopar sticker...It is a really cool looking piece of shiny gray plastic with the Mopar emblem (M) and the word MOPAR embossed in it...sshhheeeeeeeesh.

yes i do like it, but as for how loud it is compared to stock dont know. it was instaled at the dealer when i got the truck.....

I installed the Mopar on my truck. The only difference I noticed was a little faster throttle response. Other than that, don't expect too much. .3 MPG gain which isn't enough to call it an actual gain. Without a tune, you're not going to see a difference in any CAI.

It sure is pretty under the hood though.
