I looked around and read the warranty threads and other info.
Just bought 2020 Ram 2500 Tradesman with 6.4 gas with 146,100 miles.
Looking at Mopar Max Care Warranty (5000 items) from Mopar/Stellantis.
I called several dealers and some gave prices but many did not as it was over 100K.
I have an offer froom Mopar for 3/36 $5675 1892/yr, 4/48 $7680 1920/yr.
There were no issues found on Mopar Warranty inspection from the dealer mechanics, they did say brake pads were 50% front and 60% rear which is expected.

Truck will not get many miles (<10K/year) but it will be used to tow 10K Travel Trailer.

Any thoughts?

If you are going to charge that warranty and not pay it right off you are better just paying for any repairs as they come up. If you have the cash suggest investing and make a couple bucks. Combine the high cost, multiple exclusions, and odds that you will pay more than you get - it adds up to bad deal. If really want it, research non-mopar as well.

I looked at non-Mopar and spoke to several counter people/Service advisors and heard of the nightmares they deal with on the 3rd party warranty.
I decided to stay with Mopar Max.
I debated the money and the investing as the number is so high. I figure parts and labor will only go up.
I am not getting any younger (~66) and do not want to wrench any more.
Being a Mopar long-time owner, the warranty has saved me over the years on other vehicles.
I took the gamble, we will see if it pays off. I went with the 4yr/48K I got the truck for a great price.
On my 21 Pacifica, bought new with warranty, if I do not use it they will refund my money. They did not make that offer on truck warranty.
Previous Owner had the heater core done on this truck Jan 2026 at a reasonable ($130/hr) local shop and it was ~$1900.00

Agree with getting the warranty on anything used these days. Too much can go wrong. Murphy's law says it will only go bad if you DON'T buy the warranty. I'm not going to buy a used car again unless I plan to get a warranty. I just wrote in another thread, had to buy a new engine for an F150 about 8 years ago, $7500 with no warranty.

FWIW - I used an extended warranty last year to replace the 3.6L pentastar in my 2018 Jeep Wrangler. It was $14k for parts and labor. I was in the 'never buy an extended warranty' camp my entire life because I could do most repairs myself. Now with young kids, a demanding job, and manufacturers making repairs more difficult (required software, specialty equipment, etc.) my wrench time has significantly decreased. I still do all the maintenance but have to be selective on what repairs I realistically have time to do. For me the extended warranty was peace of mind knowing I could have a shop do it for me and it only costs the deductible. This one more than paid for itself with the engine swap.
