Mopar wheel to wheel side Steps Question

Hello all. Looking to add Mopar factory wheel to wheel side steps to my 2016 crew cab with 5.7 bed. Anyone know why the wheel to wheel side steps ordered through the parts department have only two brackets per side while the trucks with the factory installed wheel to wheel side steps have three brackets? Also looks the the spacing between the two steps pads might be closer on the two bracket compared to the three: Almost like it's for a quad cab. Three dealerships can't provide an answer.

I have the factory wheel to wheel steps and they only have two brackets.

Do you know if the dealer put them on or were they on your build sheet? Any issues with them?

i just traded my 2015 ram sport which had wheel to wheel steps with 3 brackets and picked up a 2017 laramie with cab only steps which also have 3 brackets

Mine were dealer installed. Wheel to wheel. 3 brackets. But I also have a crew cab with 6.5 bed.

My wheel to wheel boards also have three brackets. These are the factory Mopar ones.

My 3500 2016 CC LB has 3 supports they only connect to the cab & none on bed . Guess you shouldn't connect to bed. They are oem factory installed

My 2014 1500 Sport CC had them factory installed and on the build sheet. Only had two brackets on each bar. My 2016 2500 CC has factory installed also on build sheet but has three. I'm guessing that the short beds get two and regular beds get three.

They were factory installed. Listed on both the window sticker and build sheet. No problem at all with just the two brackets.
