I will be taking delivery tomorrow of my 2026 3500 Megacab from Mark Dodge. Very excited. My previous truck was a 2013 2500 5.7 Hemi with 146,000 miles on it. I am sure everyone knows by now about the new extended warranty to the 10 year: 100,000 mile warranty. But I am not sure if you are also aware of the new Flexcare Extended Care Premium (former Maxcare) warranty numbers. Under Maxcare, the maximum you could have had was the 8 year: 125,000 miles. My friend paid around $4200 a couple years back on his dually 3500. For my truck, I got a 10 yr: 125,000 mile warrant through Ziegler for $2595. It was listed for $2955, but they offered a $360 discount if I paid for all of it up front, which I did.

I am by no means an expert. I just wanted a little extended warranty since these trucks are so heavily electronic. I also just wanted to share the information with all of you in case you were in the market for a new truck.

If you need a good salesman from there, AnthonyRI was my guy. He is available on this forum. He was great throughout the entire process. I highly recommend Mark Dodge.

Still glad I got lifetime Maxcare on my 2019. I've only had to use it a few times, but glad I've got it. But, the down side is, I want to get a new 2500, but can't talk my self into leaving my truck that has a lifetime warranty.

Just trying to understand. Are you saying you paid $2600 to extend the warranty from 10yr/100k to 10yr/125k?

Not sure where Milo the op finds those prices.

Using Gtainger, Chrysler, or Zeigler, Flexcare Extended Care Premium, 100 ded, 120k miles, and 8 years, all i see are prices at $4-5k. Zeigler was $4750.

Anyone know a link to the $2-2.5k prices for the type coverage i just mentioned?

I do not remember the EXACT dollar amounts but I do recall there was only a small difference between ziegler and granger when I was looking for an extended warranty for my new to me ram. What swayed me to granger they offered the same mileage warranty BUT no time limit, I do not know if that was normal at the time but that is why I chose granger over ziegler.

His Ram care extended warrantee not only extend the miles but it also covers all of the non power train parts like AC, Radios, GPS etc.
Thanks. So I have not looked into the new Ram factory coverage. Is it still 3/36 for B2B, and then basically powertrain only for the rest of the 10yr/100K?

Do any of these warranties cover the disintegrating dashboard? My 2019 already had the dashboard replaced as the leather came apart (bubble gum failed due to heat(?) apparently) and the plastic molding broke apart. When I checked at the dealership about extended warranty I was told the dashboard is not included.

Yes, As far as I know its still 3/36 for B2B then powertrain for 10/100k and why many buy extended warranty to cover non powertrain stuff

Not that I have ever heard about, stuff like the dash I thought was only covered for 12 months or 12K but may be covered under the 3/36...

What vehicle are you looking up? If your truck is already out of factory warranty, it's gonna be a higher cost.

The quotes for higher miles and more years are like $4500 and higher for a 1500 still in warranty anither year.

Zeigler offers a "RAM Extended Care Premium" for 2026's with the factory 10yr/100k powertrain that has "special" pricing. These are the quotes for my truck (excluding the PAYINFULL discount).

Those prices as mentioned are for 1500s with 10 yr/100k factory warranties and seem about half the price of quotes for 23s, 24s, or 25s which came with 5/60 powertrain.

Been there, done that. We had a 2016 Rebel with lifetime. Hated to get rid of it...I did get most of my value back with the warranty, but we needed a 2500 to tow a new camper that overwhelmed the payload on the 1500. Wish the lifetime warranty was still available....but I'm surprised it ever was.

Thanks for posting this. Even though it doesn’t cover air suspension it’s worth it IMO.

Belay my last. I bought the plan and while not advertised in the coverage charts it’s listed in the provision they sent me - for the front at least. IMG_2510.jpeg
