You sure you have the housings in the assembly correctly? If it’s not that could cause what you’re talking about. Can you guys take 3 pictures for me? Front of truck from about hood height with both lights in view, driver fog and passenger fog straight on from a few feet back? All with no lights on please.
My passenger side fog is perfectly center in the frame, but my driver side fog, the rim of the light housing tucks inward towards the bumper. But the tabs and everything line up on the mounting holes? Could just be me, but it’s annoying me now.
Feel like figment issues are pre 201515 here and no complaints whatsoever.
That’s weird. I’d double check everything you did. The first time I installed the assembly I did it wrong and the housings pointed up so high they matched the height of the headlightsI have a 17 and I have gaps of at least 1/4" to 3/8" between the housing and the bumper on mine at the bottoms

If everyone is expecting these things to sit flush up against the bumper cover they are NOT. They are made larger than the opening to protect the contents behind the fog lights. Like the wiring and headlights and engine components. If you noticed the stock housings were much larger than the opening. They are also not meant to sit close or sit flush because it would wear out both the bumper cover and the housings if they were rubbing up against each other. They are supposed to have some gap between them. That being said. Here’s how they should look. If yours look like this you have nothing to worry about. That’s weird. If it did sit flush it would most definitely wear away. Every single piece of your truck moves, twists, or vibrates while hitting bumps. We will all one day experience the wear of that pivot point. There are videos out there that show fixes for it? But even that pivot point will wear over time and your housing will become loose inside its assembly. And it could go either or both ways. It could not sit flush for adjustment purposes or wear purposes or both. They could have made the light adjust from inside the housing instead of the whole housing itself. Like how the head lights adjust. The gap is not to prevent rubbing. It’s so the light can be adjusted. It can’t be angled up or down if it’s pushed up agains the bumper. This is why the fog light is designed on a pivot on the sides and a rear adjustment. It it was up against the bumper not only would it not adjust but then it wouldnt rub either unless there is a ton of play that allows movement.
But you are right, the light is oversized to prevent stuff from getting around it but I’m sure stuff still does as there is a gap and at speed air will just force he water around it.
