I had read using 4auto is the most efficient way to launch?

With traction control kicking in and redirecting power to the non spinning tire, this would slow the launch down correct? Not getting traction is never ideal to get going from a dead stop. So is 4 auto a must?

Wanted to hear what everyone else does to get better launch. Thanks.

Just for the launch I bet your right, but I think Posi would almost be as good and better off down the lane.

4wd is a double edged sword, you double your grip but also divide your power. I'm not sure how it balances out but your going to lose something through turning the front drive. Posi/locker would def. be the best way to go.

When I first got my R/T the **** wouldn't spin the tires. Now due to a lot of mods I can't keep them from spinning.
I'm thinkng of running 24" 305-45 R24 on the back and 305-45 R22 on the front. Do you think that would help or am I just losing HP due to the over size and weight of the 24"?

a bit of both, big 24" wheels arent helpful with a skinny side wall, not enough grip. I'd say get you a set of 18" wheels and some drag tires or drag radials when you take it to the track.

Even for the street i wouldnt drive on 24" wheels but thats just me

Best R/T and '60 will always come from the use of AWD. When you divide your power to 4 wheels vs. two, you have a lot more track bite. This of course has been my experience with much lighter cars, and around 90 less HP and 100 less TQ.

Gear ratios have tons to do with your ability to maintain steam down the track, though.
