I average about 17 mpg. But I bought the 5.7 for the 400 hp and I'm not afraid to use it

ahem! five seven.....

I bought a big truck with a big engine. Then I geared it down, added a cai, and a tune. Romping on that bad boy is about 1000X more satisfying than getting that next tenth of a mile per gallon.

Actually, I think it still does pretty good on gas, but I refuse to check it.
