I added mud flaps to my 2018 Longhorn. I thought they turned out quite nice.20180224_122639.jpg 20180224_122629.jpg

They do help keep the rock rash off the bottom of your truck. I like them.
It looks like we have the same kind and you mounted your rear flaps a little far in.

I think so. Gatorbacks from realtruck.com. They are no drill (kind of) and that's were the holes line up.

Hello.... This is my very first post to the Ram Forum. I just purchase a 2019 Ram Longhorn 4x4 Ivory White and just received my Gatorback Mud flaps. I was going to ask the forum should I go put these on or no? They are true no drill mudflaps and are very solid. What are some of the advantages of having mud flaps. I drive this like the luxury vehicle that it is and did not know if the Flaps would look good on my model. suggestions app

After having them on my last two Rams I think they're a necessity. They don't really change the looks of the truck that much and they do help keep the truck a lot cleaner and the rocks from getting thrown up on the truck. I would highly recommend some 3M tape on all the painted surfaces they will come in contact with though. Over time they will wear the paint off without some sort of protection. That tOSU license plate looks kind of out of place in Georgia I will say.

Honestly, I no longer like the looks of mudflaps/guards. I used to put them on everything I owned. It looks much cleaner without, and they may also affect MPGs (very slightly). However, I know they are a necessity in some cases. If I drove gravel roads, I would for sure have them. I'll monitor my Ram, and can always add them if need be. The nerf bars/running boards will block some. I prefer the looks of molded guards, but definitely won't be buying the Mopar ones!

I agree, I think I would much rather prefer the look without my mud guards, and even without my step boards but honestly, I like the protection they add against rock chips to take them off. And it’s easier to get in and out of with them on there.

But mopar makes the molded mud guards that are form-fit. 7c822f00a854a9da9fae670c28a2cc29.jpg

I'd put them on. Your truck will stay cleaner, you'll get very little rock chipping on your rocker panels and the paint down there will stay nice and clean and clean up when you wash it. My '13 1500 has flaps and running boards. My '18 2500 has flaps but I skipped the running boards. The flaps will definitely help keep it nicer without the boards.
