I recently purchased a 2021 1500 Laramie and wanted to install mud guards. Apparently, mud guards can't be installed on the rear on my truck because the vehicle doesn't have rear wheel well liners. The dealership said there isn't a rear wheel well liner that will fit my truck. According to RAM Customer Care, "This vehicle does not have a part call out for a wheel house splash shield. There is a rear splash shield for just the rear of the wheel opening. The RH is part 68365745AA and the LH is 68365746AA. This is the only information we have. These parts should already be on the vehicle."

I find it hard to believe that mud guards can't be installed on a $60k+ truck. Has anyone ran into this problem and have a fix?

Probably just depends on which mud flaps you want. You check out gator backs or duraflap?

Thanks. I'll look into them.

If your goal is to keep dirt, mud and rocks from impacting your paint, they should do the trick. Here's a link to a guy who installed the Weathertech mudflaps on his truck with the same wheel wells. I have the Weathertechs coming and I am installing them on my truck with the same non-wheel well liners.

I'm guessing they don't bother to look at the part diagrams, I believe the part# your looking for is: 82216333AA
I know starting with the DT body the rear wheel well liners are an option and few websites show the above part # is on backorder
.

Thanks loads. I see the part listed on Mopar. smh. The dealership told me that nothing would fit my truck. I figured that it didn't make sense. Have you ever heard of Rough Country rear wheel well liners (19-21 RAM 1500)? They're about $45 cheaper than the Mopar ones. I don't know about value though.

Thanks. I ordered a set of the Weathertechs as they looked like they're not dependent on a full liner for mounting. I'm still going to look for liners though. I live in SE Wisconsin and road salt is a way of life in these parts.

Well, received the Weathertech mudflaps today and they'll be going back tomorrow. The rear ones don't fit my truck correctly. The fit around the OE Fender Flares is actually worse than the Husky liners that I sent back a few days ago. They also don't fit correctly at the bottom of the rear splash shield either. This is getting pretty frustrating. I ordered the Rough Country rear wheel well liners today. We'll see how they fit. It's looking like molded mud flaps are a no go though.

It may be the angle, but your liner looks different than mine. The dealership had a Limited on the floor when I bought this Laramie. It had full wheel well liners on it. Does your mudflap fit over the pointy part of the rear splash shield, ya think? I guess I can always order some and if they don't fit, send them back. Thanks for the help.

Yeah mine fit over that shield on the bottom. One word of caution with the Mopar ones. They have a slot where trash can collect. However to stop that they give you these foam inserts to keep things out. Will see how long they last.

When I ordered the wheel wells from the dealer for my 2019 that puny part is used with the wheel well. I paid $110 for the left and right combine. Took me about an hour to install.
With my new one they came on the truck.

Mopar splash guards came in and installed easily. The plastic rivets threw me off at first. My pop rivet tool wouldn't work. I went to the local dealership and borrowed one rather than buy one just for this job. They look good. Thanks for your help.
