Mudflaps & rubbing issue

I'm about to put my OEM mudflaps back on for the season and I want to prevent them from rubbing on the paint like others have.

Anyone know where I can pick up that clear 3m tape or have another option?

You can pick up 3m paint protection on ebay -- many different sizes. I've bought some there for other reasons. Search your yellow pages for possible local installers. They may sell you a small piece.
