Muffler Shop costs

What should be the approximate cost to have a Muffler shop weld in a Magnaflow 18". I just want the new muffler welded in, as I am keeping the resonators.

$60-80 Max Any More There Just Trying To Get In Your Pockets
It's Only A 30-45 Min Job Maybe Not Even With An Experienced Muffler Guy

Yeah I though so, I am being quoted 250-270 including the muffler. I'll keep calling around...

should they use Aluminum or Stainless pipe at those prices?

get a mufflex setup from Matt @ Moes, do it in your garage.

alot of the shops dont use stainless because it is more expensive.....but for that price you should just buy a mufflex.

I paid 190 for everything and I thought that was steep but still way cheaper than the mufflex. IMO the muffler was 115 and like said before its a half hr job Max so 175 seems like a fair price too me

Just about anything I order for the truck has been or will be from Matt. But If I can put $100.00 in my pocket I'll have it welded on.

I payed $150 for my Flowmaster muffler and installation

It depends on where you go and what you find reasonable. I paid around $200 for my Flowmaster and installation. Its a little high but the shop I use does top notch work and they actually used stainless piping to do the job.
