Muffler swap Question

If I'm doing a direct muffler swap, do I get a 3" inlet, 2.25" dual outlet, or is it 2.5" dual outlet? Factory dual exhaust on my Rebel.

Looking at a new muffler not by widely used, and they have both sizes.

Either outlet size will work. If you get 2.5 then the welder will just fill in gap with extra weld.

For $50 I'm going to be trying a muffler that should be a milder carven progressive/comp muffler. It's got a longer muffler body, but same design.

the tail pipe is 2.25 OD and the muffler is 2.25 ID
