Hey guys I recently purchased a 2018 Ram with uconnect and everything works that I know of, but something I have found annoying is if I make a phone call the music on my radio stops. I understand if I had the call go through my truck speakers, but I should be able to continue to listen to music while I have the call coming through my phone and not the truck...I have went through all the settings and can’t find anything, is their anything I can do to fix this?

The truck is doing what it's designers believe most people want, the radio silent while they are on the phone. As other have said, the only way to stop it is to break the link between the phone and the truck by either un-pairing it or turning off the Bluetooth on the phone.

That kind of sucks to be honest, I call the dealership and talk to their tech and he was like yeah it should do as you are describing...my wife has a CRV and are able to talk and play music at the same time, plus multiple other vehicles I have drove you can still do this. I just think it sucks that if I get a phone call my passengers have to set in silence and listen to my phone call with no music until I hang up

Are you listening to music from the radio, sat, or are you streaming it from your phone??? I get a prompt on my iphone that asks me if I want to answer the call on the phone or uconnect. if a choose uconnect, my radio still plays the FM station I'm playing.

See that’s what I thought should happen which is what happens in most vehicles I have owned/driven in the past...it gives me the option to choose, but even if I select my phone my radio still goes silent, I have even tried switching back and forth between uconnect and phone while in call and still nothing, radio is silent until I hang up and then the music comes right back on and I’m using Sirius xm radio for the music
