ok guys, i spend from noon to 10:30 pm Saturday, minus a 2 hr break and about 1 hr this morning doing a FULL drop kit on my truck. I used a Mcgaughys 4.5" front/6" rear drop kit. It consisted of spindles and springs up front as well as a flip kit out back. I still have to install shocks and do some other minor stuff before i can drive it, but its fine as im waiting on a shim for my starter anyway. Heres some pics of it finished. If anyone wants any kind of write up/how to pics i will do those in another thread.

Sitting on Bump Stops - removed and not much change, probably will end up needing to C-Notch it

for some reason this tire is MUCH closer to fender lip than other front tire, not sure if this is alignment issue alone or if i need to go back in and check stuff, i can BARELY get my fingers between tire and fender whereas left front i can fit fingers in there plus extra room

Well guys, let me know what you all think of the outcome and any suggestions on that right front tire being so different from the other three would be awesome, i know i still need to install all 4 shocks, but i doubt thatll change this issue any. also, my buddy says since i lowered it factory alignment specs are incorrect and i need new specs that fit new parts. is this true or not.

Looks great.

Here is my cousins truck, I don't remember if this is before or after the air ride. With the air ride he can lay it on the ground.

Awesome. I used to have exhaust dumped before the axle on one of my previous trucks and I really liked it. Sounded good.

alrighty guys, got truck buttoned up tonight, got 4 shocks on, got exhaust dumped, and took a few vids of exhaust, one before the dump, one after dump in the air and one after dump at ride height.

YouTube - ‪1983 Chevy C10 - Exhaust sound clip before dumping exhaust ahead of rear axle‬‏

YouTube - ‪1983 Chevy C10 - Exhaust sound clip AFTER dumping exhaust ahead of rear axle with turn downs‬‏

Let me know what you guys think of exhaust sound difference, it DEF sounded diff in person, not sure how well video will show the diff or not.

if youtube links dont work, can a mod or someone please fix em for me, it seems like every forum is diff for youtube links

Looks good, hows it ride? Looking at the first set of pics it doesn't look like there's alot of room between the axle and bump stop. Did the new shocks stiffen it up?
