At this moment its only showing a p0016. Before it was showing po347 p0307 and p0306 i think it was. Not for certain but i do know they were o2 sensors and cam sensor. Ill have to look up the 0016 now and see what it is. The codes arent consistently the same.

P0306 and P0307 are misfire codes for cylinders 6 and 7. You are correct about P0347, it's the cam position sensor code (P0347 – Camshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input (Bank 2)). P0016 is a crankshaft-camshaft timing misalignment code. The O2 sensors codes (P0131-P0141 and P014A-P0167) would be a symptom of the other codes.

If I were to make a guess by these codes, it sounds like your timing is off, causing a misfire on cylinders 6 and 7. Did you replace your oil pump or timing chain recently? It is also possible that the cam sensor may have or may be starting to fail.

When I see a 2003 4.7 with some miles on it the first thing I verify is the timing. I am guessing that it still has the original timing set and the tensioners are fully extended and there is still some slack in the chains.

With a scan tool connected you could monitor the cam and crank count as well as the cam/crank sync. Also, the timing would be jumping around.

Do you hear any noises coming from the front of the engine?

I havent had it very long there us alot of rattle, which i assume is possibly timing chain. Definitely some lifter noise. Its high mileage ao im going to look into a timing set and go from there.

As ive stated the other day, the dtcs vary from day to day. Todays lucky numbers are p0344 and p0138.
