Finally picked up the new truck Friday night and installed a few upgrades yesterday. Turned in the 2014 granite crew 6 speed UC 3.0 for the 14 Blackout 8speed with UC 5.0 with Bluetooth and CD player. Long story short service could fix my issues and Ram offered the swap. Check out the transformation in the pics, before and after. Matching tint, bakflip g2,and 4" oval black powder coat side steps. Also installed the DeeZee tailgate assist.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1409501619.196192.jpg

I remember following your thread, and funny enough..around that time, I was at the dealer getting an oil change and there was this brand new laramie there in the service bay with no plates.

Real nice looking truck..and even had after market wheels in the bed. I asked the service manager about it and he said it was a trade in. I asked why someone would trade a brand new laramie back in? He said he had no clue.

I'm standing around...suddenly something caught my eye. I look and see the cluster light up, turn off, then light up..then turn off.

I remember thinking of your thread and telling them about it, they said "that sounds like a fluke", and since it wasnt my truck, I didnt push it of course.

Great looking new truck as well!!:favorites13:

Oh boy, hopefully they do a little research before the Ram owner goes through what I did. A service bulletin was generated as a result of my problem.

Loving the new truck so far! Seems much more responsive with the 8 speed and 3.21 compared to my previous truck with the 6 speed 3.55. Better mpgs as well.
