Hey guys I was wondering if my locpick has rca output for an aftermarket amp? So far I have a back up camera on it and a headrest tv. Or will I need to buy a line out converter, if so how do I wire one of them up and what is a good one?

double bump..

I was wondering the same thing. I Just installed my lockpick and was wondering the same thing as I would like to also add subs. I was considering splitting the line out rca that currently goes to my monitors, however I noticed that even when stereo is on up front, VES still plays DVD on RCA out to monitors. Therefore the subs would only be playing dvd sound not stereo / music sound. I am thinking line out converter might be our only option and I have seen a few talked about on here but am not sure how they would work in conjunction with the lockpick. Please post if you figure this out and I will do the same. If anyone else has a work around for this please post up.. This site is great

Do you know if these can be hooked up in conjuntion with the LOCKPIC. I am picturing LOCPICK into head unit, then LOCKPICK out to LOC (line out converter), then LOC out to factory plug / speakers. Seams like a lot of piggybacking. Has anyone tried this with success and can you comment on quality or any loss there of.

What is lockpick?

Device that allows you to unlock video in motion and programming nav in motion. also allows to install aftermarket rear, front and sideview cameras. Some models allow ipod control features as well.

tried the PAC device with my lockpick... if your using the factory wiring to the speakers then the PAC will not work. If you ran wires from the amp to the speakers then your good. Tried to mod the wiring on the PAC device but it's a no go. Ended up keeping the modded connector and went with the JL audio OEM integration device (CL441dsp). Haven't connected it yet but I'll report back on the outcome.

Just an update on this, I purchased the PAC mentioned here for non amplified stock radio. Plugged PAC into stereo, then PAC out to Lockpick, then Lockpick out to stock harness / speakers. PAC has front and rear RCA outputs. I ran rear outputs to my Rockford AMP and wired AMP to my MTX subs. Everything works flawlessly and sounds amazing. I also added a gain knob so that I can control the subwoofers output from the front seat. I was concerned about all of the piggybacking, however it did not seem to cause any issues at all. All that being said, if I had not loved the look of the stock NAV unit, it would have been much easier and about the same price to have just changed out the head unit to an aftermarket double din. Lockpick 225.00 PAC 45.00 sub gain 10.00 so total 280.00 and a lot of piggybacking and rigging to do what an aftermarket stereo for around 300 would have done. All and all I am very happy with how it all came out but I am not sure it would be the right option for everybody. Good luck to anyone doing this and feel free to ask if you have any questions.
