my 94 5.9 1500 stalls out after a few miles, no sputter, bucking, just stalls like you turned it off. it cranks but wont start, I tried starting fluid in the tb, still didn't start so i doubt its the fuel pump. it will fire right up the next day after it sits, it runs like new, plenty of power but a few miles down the road it turns off. anybody have any suggestions?

When my PCM was crapping out, that's what my truck did. Since you have a 1994 ram, I'm not sure if you have the digital odometer. If you do, the other symptom is a NO BUS message on the odometer.

Could also be a bad ASD relay or crank sensor...

If it won't even try starting with starting fluid, it isn't getting a spark. The ignition coil, cam sensor, crank sensor, ASD relay, and lastly PCM all need to be checked. Sounds like one of these items is suffering from a heat related failure. If you search these forums there are a few posts on how to test your ignition coil and relays. Cam and crank sensors are a little more difficult to test, but are common failure points on these trucks (especially the crank sensors). PCM would be the final thing to look at if one of the other parts isn't found to be faulty. Good luck!

I had an ignition coil go south on me and it did the same thing. It would run for a bit, then the coil would heat up and quit firing the plugs. I'd let it sit for a while and "lather, rinse, repeat".

I'm replacing the asd and the fp relay today so I'll keep you posted. I have a feeling its the coil though, it would sometimes about 6 seconds before it started
