Anyone running one? It kills the abs, tcs and bld. It allows a guy to spin the tires without the abs and other devices kicking in so you can full power out of snow/mud. I have been interested in trying to eliminate it with a switch and there is a guy who has done it. Only issue is for the 1500, once turned on then off to remove notifications off the instrument cluster seems as you need to cycle the key. Anyone have issues with this and real world use? Thanks guys!

I just press the button to turn off the throttle limiting part of traction control, or put it in 4L where everything is disabled but ABS and BLD. Sometimes ABS can be frustrating when fighting extremely deep snow but BLD is never in the way and ABS is really only annoying in the rarest circumstances.

I hate how it/stock interferes with the ability to drift a corner or spin the ass end around on snowy roads/streets. I also don’t like 4wl low in snow as I want higher gears for momentum. I also like to goof around and spin donuts in big parking lots and such. I take my kids and teach them how to learn to drive with a car getting loose and how to not panic and recover. Not a big fan of all the nanny features trying to drive for me as I know how to drive.

If I'm not mistaken the ABS fuse can be pulled to disable both ABS and all traction control functions. They will remain off until the fuse has been replaced AND the vehicle has been turned off and restarted (so no on-the-fly switching off/on) - but I don't remember where I was reading about somebody doing that, it may have been on that "other" Ram forum a few years back.

Thats exactly what this NKS does. Didn’t want to post a link to another forum but here it is.
https://forum.powerwagonregistry.or...s seems like a no brainer and a proven build.

I don;t think that word means what you think it means. ABS is all about keeping the spinning going ;-)

I find tapping tow haul and the TC switch gets everything peppy and loose enough for me to drift and do donuts. Gotta get fairly out of hand at speed before the stability control tries to tap a brake to "help" with TC off, but that's where 5 second TC switch press when stopped, 4 low, tunes, fuse pull, and other options come into play, and there is some variation between the two transfer case options as to how loose you can get.

That said I have an 80s Mercedes which is way more fun for such things. Thing is a long heavy tank.

The stability control system(ECS) utilized the ABS system to apply brakes to specific wheels to control yaw based on steering angle. Traction control(TC) can apply the brakes with the ABS system to address wheel spin and reduce engine power.
Fuse interruption will take out ESC and brake related TC, but some TC will remain.
