Need a new axle

I recently snapped my axle driving home from a camping trip. I don't know much on what kind of Axle that will work for my truck. I had 4.56 gears and 37" tires if that could of been an issue. Looking for more of an off road axle any suggestions?

You can probably repair that rear end with a few new parts. The differential should be ok unless there is other issues. I'd pull the cover remove the broken axle and see whats bent or damaged. Gather the parts and reassemble. If there are differential problems I'd look at a replacement, but with 4:56 you are going to be doing differential/gear work anyway. Big tires, a good gear and weight can break stuff.

See if you can find some alloy chromoly axle shafts. They will be like 30% stronger.
