With 1.75” wheels adapters, what size y’all reckon I should go with?

Convert, for now.
Engine
small
If its leveled, a 35"

Here is my 2015, leveled, nothing in rear and did a 285/65/20, on a 20x9...which are about 34.5" tall.

It "will", but I opted to put on a 20x10, but technically it will fit.

I guess I’m at an impasse. Should I keep the stock 20x9s and put bigger tires and wheel adapters or just spend a few extra dollars and get a rim with some offset?

anyone got experience with this issue?

If you have an express with express rims I don’t believe they are 9”. The sport rims are 9”. Do you have the sport rims? The express rims are 8 or 8.5” IIRC. Some places (especially around me) will not mount a 35x12.5 on a 8/8.5” rim. My brother had Ridge Grapplers installed on his 2015 Sport (stock sport rims) but opted for the 35x11.5x20 tires to avoid possible rubbing.
That said I have a 2014 express w/ 35x12.5x20 Federal Couragia’s mounted on 20x10 -18 offset Fuel rims. Lift is Bils at 2.8, Bils in the rear, Airlift 5000 bags and a Zone 1.5” BL. Very slight rubbing on front fender liners which was easily fixed with a utility knife. No rub at all in full lock now. BTW I did add Zone UCA’s.
I would avoid the wheel spacers and by the correct rim with specs for the tire you really want. The Federals IMO are excellent for a mud tire (I’ve ran a lot of Brands) and don’t cost $380-475 per tire! I got 4 from Walmart shipped to the house and installed for under $1k.

I have 33x12.5x20 mounted on my stock 20x8 black Big Horn wheels with a 1 1/2 Bora wheel spacer and a 2” Level Lift. Looks great, no issues. Truck before this one had same setup, again, looked great with no issues. Only difference that this time I went with an aggressive AT tire, General Grabber ATx, last truck had Nitto Trail Grapplers.
