I decided my next mod is gonna be a 4" lift. But I was wondering why everyone gets Bilstein 5100's with them? I already have a HBS level so am I going to have to take it off to run the lift? I've been looking at either a Rancho lift or an RC lift. Ideas?

People use Bilstein because they are good . Fox ect .. better but allot more money .

Bilstein is a affordable shock that is not crap.

Looking for a 4" , PM me if you would like some prices .

We get the Bilsteins to level the front end rake even after the 4" lift. Some ppl buy them to add an additional 2.8"s to they're 6" lift to achieve a 9" lift.

Alright i'm pretty convinced that i'm gonna scrap my HBS level and get the shocks and 4" lift. Is the frame going to be exposed in the rear? And are my exhaust tips going to be at the same height?

As long as you only get a 4" suspension lift, no frame will be exposed and the tail pipes will be in the same spot, if you go with a body lift of some sort, your tailpipes will need to be raised and you will have a bit of frame exposed.

Thanks! Guess I'll be buying them in the morning! Any suggestions for the 4" suspension lift?

Will the lift affect my MPG at all? The trail grapplers were a big kick to the gas tank haha

The lift itself wont do anything to your mpg. Its the size of tires that will affect it. Trails are one of the lightest tires out there.

That's not true. The added height will affect your mpg because of aerodynamics.
You will lose some mpgs because of that.

A lift combined with bigger tires (more mass to move) will definitely affect your mpg.
I only added a 2 inch level and I've even noticed a slight decrease in mpg.
