Cummins 6.7L turbo diesel
I need help with finding a lowering kit.

I have a 2016 ram 3500, DRW 4x4, white 6.7L turbo diesel, incomplete with a working flatbed. The flatbed has a goose neck ball hitch.

I am having trouble with the front tires. The are rapidly wearing on the outside tread. It is hastened by pulling my RV.

I asked the guy that changed my tires why this is happening? Getting only 10,000 miles out of a set of tires is becoming costly. He said the problem is caused by the flatbed, because it’s heavier than the standard bed on a completed ram 3500. When I asked a diesel mechanic friend about it, he further explained that when pulling an RV, because the weight is simultaneously pushing down the back axle and relieving the weight on the front axle, it causes the tires to also camber in, and this is what causes the premature tread wear.

My question is, is there a replacement or lowering kit for the front springs? On a guess I would like to drop the front at least 4 inches. All help is appreciated.

Solid front axle = no camber…did either of them even look at the truck? Has it been aligned? Could be that the toe is getting thrown off. Load assist airbags would be a lot more helpful than lowering the front end

The tire guy and the diesel mechanic both put hands on the truck. They both did a ball joint check on both tires and the ball joints are solid. I have air rides on the truck and it’s definitely not helping as I’ve had them on the truck since I bought it and both sets on the front have worn prematurely. I will look into an alignment, hopefully that helps.

Should probably ask in 4th gen, since that's what you have.

A sawzall and a pair of springs from the salvage yard or probably even free on FB marketplace would be what I’d do. Cut a coil and install, see how much it dropped the front, and go from there.

From the factory and spec calls for too much toe in.
The remedy is have the toe set at 0°. I've been running Super Dutys and now Ram duallies at 0° and get even tire wear. I align them myself on a flat concrete pad with a 6' straightedge, tape measure, and a marker. I place the straight edge on the sidewall out the front and mark the ground both sides then measure. Then do the same out the rear and measure. Adjust the tie rod until they match. Getting the measurements to match the same will have the toe set to 0°.

P.S. The flatbed story excuse is ridiculous. Almost as bad as someone suggesting to cut the spring. Come on. Don't do that.
