Aaaaalright. Short background then a couple questions.
I've got this 07 1500 5.7 4x4. 3" blocks in rear, 3" spacers in front. Did upper control arms to accommodate lift angle, aswell as trackmotive extended axles.
Was over heated a year or so ago, thats when I lost cruise control and my overdrive gear. Just did the heads, plugs, air filter, water pump, fan clutch, a stat, front axles(back to stock from extended axles, as they seemed to click when in short radius turns) , hubs, crankshaft position sensor, camshaft position sensor, oil pressure sensor, mass airflow sensor, aaaand throttle body. Also checked on rollers and cam while I was in there. Finished all that yesterday. Been putting repairs off for a while because it only gets driven like 40-50miles a month to the race track and back.
Well, Ive been getting p0016 (cam/crankshaft position sensor w/ bank 1 correlation) for around a year. And it does have a little misfire periodically. Crank and camshaft sensors would usually make the code go away for a while, but not this time. And now I'm getting the flashing lightning bolt on the dash while driving (which took it into limp mode before the new throttle body)
Sooo I'm pretty positive it jumped timing. It also won't shift into overdrive AND my cruise control is gone. The thing hits 2.5k RPM@ 60-65mph, where it used to be at around 1800. Would being out of timing take overdrive and cruise control away?
I'll add that when cold and not up to operating temp, the truck will shift into overdrive. When I'm at operating temp, overdrive goes away.

Has anybody done the Melling high volume oil pump and do you feel its worth it?
Timing kit recommendations? Was really considering the Melling w/ high volume oil pump.
Looking into heavier duty tie rod ends and ball joints. Any recommendations?

Pic for attention. Yeah, it's ugly.. but unique. Can't drive the thing without somebody wanting to talk about it. I rattle-canned it with plastidip in the back yard. And my boat matches1000015332.jpg

Deal with your engine issues first then you can try to fix your trans issue may be related. No need for a HP oil pump I just used melling or similar timing kits whatever rockauto sells tbh if your 5.7 is high miles the older hemis are known for the timing tensioner to break. I would stop running it if it jumps time you blow the engine.

Also with the sensors you replaced what brand did you use? cheap amazon ones dont work also the same for the throttle body what brand did you use? could cause issues with shifting for sure since TPS is built in.
