You can keep it out of MDS mode,by driving it like your 16 again, lol. The hemi is one of those engines that likes to be driven aggressively, driving it like Grandma doesn't do them any good.Don't be scared to run it up past 3000 rpm a fair bit
Well, that should be GREAT since my wife says i drive crazy fast!!!

Gauges are meant to be thoroughly tested, via peddle pounding predication.

3000 rpm?

I don't have to tell YOU that the serious fun starts at about 5000 rpm.

I was testing my latest tweaks today and the damned tranny kept downshifting a couple of gears before I got plastered into the seat.

Fun is a Hemi on open road above 5000 rpm.

The white truck I owned years ago was either looking like a dirty rolling salt block in the winter or a pile of mud in the summer.

It did clean up well, the few times I washed it.

The Metalic Steel or whatever they call the color hides the dirt pretty good but it's much darker than I would have preferred.

The best color to hide dirt was this tan colored Crown Vic I once owned.

I called it the dive couch because I could fit gear for 2 divers in the trunk and it was like spending time on a couch, it was so comfy.

That predated my obsession with DPV scooters and tech diving. You really need a truck for dive gear.

Is it the convertor clutch disengaging by any chance. Some vehicles are more sensitive tan others to throttle input.

@Wild one @mikeru

Driver door jam sticker specifies 18" wheels/tires.

My truck has RAM OEM 20" wheels ???

Checked the Window Sticker but it does not state any wheel/tire size.

It does have the 25Z Package but no mention of wheel type or size.

LOVE LOVE LOVE - Steel Blue - Greyish Blue - Dark Olive

If I run into some spending money, will consider a professional wrap of steel blue, dark grey or dark olive

I'll have to look again but, IIRC, my jamb label indicates 17" tires, but it came new with 20" on black alloys.

It sounds like you have a 5th gen, if it has 18" wheels.

Then as RD states you have a 5th Gen with the 6 lug wheels.Good news is the 5th Gens also get the better heavy duty 8HP75 transmission,it also has a better gear spread with it's 5.00:1 first gear.
Give us some pics of the new toy David,it sounds like a great truck with no E-torque

I just took off the winter tires and wheels, so Maybe check the tac out, I run'er up a bit when in the lower gears sometimes.
I don't know if it had hit 6k, but I an't wildman. ;)
The old duster 340 loved 8k+, it just woke up then. (Only time I ever heard dad swear was in that car one time.)
One problem with studded tires on drive pavement, they have no grip, on ice they are great.

I use to have 2005 1500, it was a light tan / sand color , easy to keep clean, Main reason I bought it was it had light colored interior , basic black interior can get old, saddle leather is nice, but costs are heavy.

I crawled all over underneath and in the engine bay looking for any sign of body work or signs of higher mileage and found nothing suspicious.

All the parts still have factory tags with the Mopar Emblem and matching the last 8 characters of my VIN and Build Date

Also the oil was changed at the Dealership(NC Law) and it was the SAME color when I returned home 800 miles later - CLEAR

If it had higher mileage then what is on the odometer, the oil would of been slightly darker after the 800 mile return trip as it would of blended with any old oil remaining in the engine.

Especially with the unusual HIGH RPM's that it was extensively tested with = Sometimes we men must put our right foot down = HARD
