I know the one is from a bad connection on the IAT sensor, but the EGR deal. I am not finding a lot on it. I am not sure if I am searching for the wrong stuff. But I was wondering if I could pick your guys's brains for a minute.

Throwing codes 0406 0508

05 4.7 with CAI and Ported TB. 73k miles on the truck

THANKS!!!!!!

Check for a vacuum leak or a messed up sensor wiring or wire at the iac. This is what I got from google. P0508 info ^^^

Looking for the other. Slow phone.

Any noticeable things going on with the truck besides an EGR?

I know the IAT sensors connector is bad. I have a whole new piece coming in. And will solder the new one in. Best thing I can come up with.

As for the other, only thing weird is that the truck wouldn't start and would die until I use three zip ties and half a role of electrical tape to get the sensors connector to hold in place.

Only other thing is the exhaust guys said I might have an exhaust leak on the headers. Any way that would tie into this??

0460:
The P0406 sets when the EGR position sensor's signal return is the same as or higher then reference voltage. Without doing the actual tests on the circuit; I would say that the EGR position sensor is likely at fault. I’ve had to replace a number of valve/sensor assemblies for this reason.

If you have a exhaust leak at the header there is the problem

When I broke my oil pressure sensor it told me oil pressure sensor volts too high. Maybe the EGR Pos Sensor needs to be replaced and is malfunctioning?
